Punk I don’t eat caviar or foi gras but there’s plenty to choose from on that menu and I am certain each will be deeeeliceous!
I had my review at the eye clnic, appears I am well known as the “freak”well they didn’t actually call me that but an awful lot of hand shaking and shoulder pats, and maybe a little relief I have at last responded. Not discharged yet as have to reduce drops gradually so back once more in a month Vision has a wee way to go. Punk I have 200 p f single dose sterile DSP 0.1. No one wants them and that seems crazy to me, would MSF like them? It feels dreadful to chuck them I have looked after them like babies
Hosta safe journey. Behave this time!
Liro I think that’s a wonderful thing to do. I take great comfort using my mums recipe book she was a caterer so afternoon tea for 100hasnt been used yet!!

Evening all. have read back a little all that food sounds wonderful, happy hols for those lucky enough to be going and hope the bad backs feel better soon. And best wishes @Liriodendron I'm sure all our thoughts will be with you tomorrow.
Had a really busy day yesterday with the remembrance parade then forty for a victory themed lunch at home that turned into afternoon tea and a light supper but we all really enjoyed it, talking to people who had family memories, pictures, tales some funny some very sad. the time just went so fast.
Had lots of tidying up to do today but with the help of my two wonderful ladies that help around the house it was all sorted in no time.

Hi LP. Sadly MSF. will only take medicines from authorised sources, does sound a terrible waste though. Glad you are finally responding to treatment. I am getting fairly fed up with being a medical mystery, although Some of those responsible for my care, seem to love having a mystery to solve. I just wish they would get on and do it.
I know a lot of people disapprove of foie gras, and I probably should, but I love it, particularly with a nice glass of Sauterne.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Thanks for that , it does seem a shocking waste but I guess that’s the world we live in I am afraid being out of the ordinary is not always a blessing 🤪

Liri - have a lovely day tomorrow, sharing memories with people who love your mum and you.
Glad your eyes are doing well LP. I had to bin a pair of crutches, a simple orthopedic shoe, a very complicated 250€ orthopedic boot and a proper orthopedic post-op shoe because no-one would take them. Madness.
Pdoc - I wouldn't have the caviar or sprouts but the rest sounds great as long as it's duck foie gras (naturally greedy so not forced like geese) tho we don't eat that any more. In Belgium it was a local producer and I did a group visit to see how it was produced. Not so sure here.
Hosta - bon voyage.
Patchwork was odd today. Folded Xmas dec thingy. An exercise in how to pass time and keep the little woman quiet doing something intricate and fastidious - like proper Lebanese tabbouleh or Japanese hand-made sushi. They liked the Dorset apple traybake cake.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Hope today goes well Liri, and many happy memories are shared.
So pleased to hear the eyes are making progress LilyP.
Menu looks very tempting Pdoc - enjoy 😋
Back is a little easier this morning - bit more icing today, then the heatpads at the ready for tomorrow. Hope Hosta’s journey to the airport was not too uncomfortable- guess they are well on their way by now 😎😎🏖✈️
Morning all/afties Pat if you're there. Sending love to Liri and her family. Sad times but also, hopefully, some smiles and laughs when recalling little events that were important. It's always the little things that matter most. Mum's 'mended garments' - what a beautiful thing to do x Not had much time to look in here recently, and I've only skimmed so can't remember much. Apologies. Hope Hosta got away safely, and glad your Remembrance Day events went well HHog. It's incredibly important, and the contrast between what 'everyday folk', if you'll pardon the expression, were doing compared to a certain world leader who can't cope with rain, is ever widening. Mind you - having seen the footage of him trying to deal with an umbrella while getting on a plane, perhaps it's just as well. He may well have started another war. Only a matter of time... Better go - dry for the moment, and I think to be a better day here. Wildlife camera couldn't cope with the rain. I had to bring it inside to dry out. I now have it under some cover
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

@Lily Pilly I wonder if they’re the sort of thing that an animal rescue organisation would have a use for?
