Monring all/afties Pat Grey, cool and damp here. Frost's lifted through the night but it's still only about zero. Hope hubby's foot's a bit better soon Hosta. Don't want that malarkey when you go away. Fell asleep last night so wasn't really on here. Daughter was home in the early hours but I didn't hear her. At least I didn't have to go and fetch her at 1 am, she got the last bus that goes along the nearby road. Birds are waiting for the food on the ground feeder so I'd better get ready for work and do that too. Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hostafan, ask at the chemist for large Hydrogel dressings. Small ones come under the brand name Compeed blister plasters. They are thick jelly like plasters that you put on and leave on until they start to come off on their own. The new skin wet granulates under it. A bit technical, but far superior if quite expensive, to normal dressings for burns and blisters. When we were last in the tropics, hubby gashed his ankle. With that type of dressing, he could carry on diving. Expensive dressing, but saved the holiday. You would want a 10cm Granuflex dressing for heavy exudate, or Duoderm for light exudate. They seal all the way round, and stay put for up to a week. The pharmacy can order them for next day delivery if they don't have any in.

Thanks or the info.Very kind of you. That sounds exactly like the type of dressing they put on at the Docs' yesterday. He's to go back tomorrow and Friday to have them changed. He did say last night " I think I was a bit silly to think it would get better on its own" I've never heard him say that in the 23 years we've been together.
We can't get i-player here Hosta. Maybe it'll be there still next time they go to Norfolk.
Today had been forecast as filthy and wet. It is bright, clear and dry. Too dry to do anything soil based so the bulbs will have to wait but we will move the citrus pots into the PT and I'm going to transfer the freasias from their planters to the soil in the PT too.
Possum says it's snowing in Namur.
Hosta - good decision to confine hubby to barracks so he heals well. Hugs to both.
FG - our birds are eating loads of loose seed now as well as the fat blocks and balls in the feeders. Good to see but still not a huge range tho we did have a flock of fieldfares swooping on the gravel/weed expanse which was fun to watch. Such busy birds.
Stay warm everyone.
