When we put our house on the market we followed advice to de-clutter and remove items that made it all look too personal which not only makes it easier for prospective buyers to imagine themselves and their belongings in the space but also makes it dead easy to wipe surfaces with a damp cloth to remove any dust just before visits.   Viewing was by appointment and always with 24 hours' notice so I could send OH out with the dogs.   We did use agents who specialise in that kind of house and the area - they'd sold it to us 23 years before - and it sold just 10 days after going on the market.    Good luck with your sales Busy and Diana.

I can't see us going to the UK again for some time now Busy - looks like pet passports are going to be a casualty of post Brexit bureaucracy and, apart from my solo trips to the Chelsea Flower Show, we have not been in the habit of planning other trips 3 months or more in advance and that's likely to become necessary in future.

Have had a dozy afternoon reading my October issue of The Garden which has finally arrived.   Lovely article on the diversity and quantity of wildlife at Great Dixter, a garden that has been closely managed for decades and which has plants form all over the world but nurtured in a way that allows for and invites bio-diversity.   Wonderful.

Gosh it's filled up a lot, Hosta. Looks lovely. I can see all your photos with my poor Internet although I can't see most other people's.

    Looking better now Hosta.
I took out my frustration at a parcel delivery on the branches of the pine tree which have been needing removing. Hair hacked then branches hacked  :)
They were meant to leave the parcel [my bulbs] by the back door, if I wasn't in. Clearly the driver can't read, or is too thick to understand the word 'if'. I can see the front door from the settee, and that's where I was when I got the email saying it was being delivered. I then got one saying it HAD been delivered. Strange I thought, no one came to the door. Went out the back, and couldn't see anyone. I had the kick bolt on the gate as I was about to go out, and it's easier, but I went out for a look. Here was the parcel - under the back of my bl**dy car.
What a total twut. He couldn't get in the back gate - but he shouldn't have been going there without going to the front door first. I've just complained to DPD, and that was almost impossible too - as their contact form doesn't work. What a surprise. Had to do it through another site.  :#
Anyway, here's the wee link about the squirrels if anyone would like to vote. If they get enough votes they can get funding to support the initiative. The link to the trees for life site is down at the bottom of the page.  :)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hostafan is one of the considerate people who reduced the size of photos at source so we can all see them, thank you Hosta.😘
