Thank you dappledshade and Papi Jo for the suggestion but it is not Ajuga...which I know well.
    Stem is not square.
    Flower is different shape etc.

    One of the Scutellarias perhaps?

@Silver surfer I don't understand. Are those new photos the same plant as in your original post?
  • Ooops! Sorry Papi Jo.
    Didn't mean to confuse.
    Ist...3 pics are mystery plant.
Next ....2 pics are Ajuga reptans to show square stem...shape of flowers.
So simple comparison can be made.

I thought the first photos, it looked like a salvia. Salvia patens leaves a calyx like that.

Ok not ajuga reptens, but not salvia patens either.

Salvia verticillata has whorls of flowers like that, and similar rosette of leaves. I have not seen that colour form before

Thank you Berghill for your suggestion.
All the Scutellaria that I know have a sort of hood over the top of the flower.
See pic of a pink one  SCUTELLARIA  SUFFRUTESCENS  TEXAS  ROSE..so I do not believe mystery flower is Scutellaria
