We have been having a Chinook the past few days. A Chinook is warm air from the Pacific Ocean racing down the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains onto the great plains. We get a great Chinook Arch in the sky here in Calgary being within sight of the Rockies. The arch in the sky yesterday and today from the edge of my hill.
That certainly is a view. Sunny here and mild (Glos). I see they are forecasting colder temperatures at the weekend, better get on with the last of the tidying.
What a shock to the system today - foggy this morning, dull afternoon - where is our sun? After so many sunny days we are missing our sunshine. The forecast was for the sun to shine on us this afternoon - but that isn't happening. The air feels colder, although not raining or windy - just a lack of sun today .....
