    A much better day today after yesterday's incessant rain.  Need to plant some daffs...

    Enjoying a full day of rain here -  we certainly needed it, so forced to stay indoors to catch up on chores. OH has started to bag up pine cones for our Christmas customers - IN SEPTEMBER!

    Frost warning for the start of next week! Hopefully most tender plants are inside hiding from the storms already.

    Felt chilly yesterday evening and we had the fire on in the sitting room for the first time since last winter ... this morning I’ve got my fluffy purple dressing gown on instead of the silky one ... it’s definitely autumn. 

    Otside this morning it’s dry and overcast and very still. My phone says it’s 11C but I’ve not been out there to check yet. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Nice steady rain 10.8C with a light breeze 8kn from North. For the first day of autumn can't complain, well I could but I won't

    Temps going to be high twenties again here, but there is promise of some rain tonight, but i don't think it's going to be much.
