  • The rain came - good steady stuff late in the afternoon.  I can hear it filling up our water butts.  That'll do us for a few days thank you.
Can't wait to be able to have a water butt, just so I can hear that sound, Guernsey  :)
  • After the rain yesterday aft/evening, we have clear blue skies (great for the Battle of Britain annual air display this morning), a gentle breeze and warm too. More rain needed but at least it filled the water butts for us.
  • Quite a cool start but it turned into a lovely day.

  • Bright and sunny 9.9C light breeze 2kn NNW

  • A shower of rain for 10 minutes and now sunshine again - we need far more rain to make it worthwhile - in the meantime we are continuing with the watering.
  • Sun and a couple of showers here, quite warm when I was cutting down the Hollyhocks.

A sunshine and showers day. Weekend forecast looks a bit dull.

    Cloudy here.

I was looking at those sunrise/sunset times @Logan4, thinking they are getting very Autumnal so have done some checking of the times for the coming month...

    • 23rd September is Autumn Equinox
    • 26th September will be the first time that daylight is less than 12 hours
    • 28th October is the end of Daylight Saving Time
    • 28th October has sunset before 5pm and daylight is less than 10 hours
I hope that is not too depressing. I love Autumn though - pretty leaves, walks outside followed by cosy evenings with stews and apple pies... a lovely season.
