After the rain yesterday aft/evening, we have clear blue skies (great for the Battle of Britain annual air display this morning), a gentle breeze and warm too. More rain needed but at least it filled the water butts for us.
A shower of rain for 10 minutes and now sunshine again - we need far more rain to make it worthwhile - in the meantime we are continuing with the watering.
I was looking at those sunrise/sunset times @Logan4, thinking they are getting very Autumnal so have done some checking of the times for the coming month...
23rd September is Autumn Equinox
26th September will be the first time that daylight is less than 12 hours
28th October is the end of Daylight Saving Time
28th October has sunset before 5pm and daylight is less than 10 hours
I hope that is not too depressing. I love Autumn though - pretty leaves, walks outside followed by cosy evenings with stews and apple pies... a lovely season.
