And another brilliant day, blue sky, sunshine, still a bit damp from overnight rain but cool enough to get physical! Only two weeks until Autumn but if feels like an excellent summer's day  :)

  • We didn't get a drop of rain yesterday even though the clouds came thick and heavy - it just passed us by again.  So it's sunny again today and the hose and watering cans are at the ready for this evening's watering session of the new trees, plants and shrubs, topping up of the pond, keeping the bog garden damp and the recently potted up cuttings and strawberry runners!

I woke up at 7am to really heavy rain, so I had 20minutes before I had to run out and shift the water off the cheapo pollytunnels. (in a coat and nothing else!) that carried on for about 2 hours, giving us well over 2inches of rain, I had left a pot outside so I could actually see rather than guess, well once i had removed the eggs from it. oops. it rained on and off all day. last month it's done nothing but rain, we've had 3 consecutive days without rain and I finally managed to get the lawns mown, they were over a foot tall.
  • Quite heavy cloud cover this morning but no rain as yet, but is forecast.

Starting to get lower temperatures at night now down to 7.9C at 3am currently 8.5C with a very light breeze of 1kn NNW.
