    "whooooooooosh" right over my head.

Sorry!   :D   Just means we can post images from our own computers without it causing the problems we have here.

I've just thought, Digital Spy are on the same platform as GW and they have blocked the posting of personal photos altogether.   You can now only post images with a url.

  • But surely here the idea is that you post personal photos so people can enjoy or advise, why would you only want to post pictures from the web. url

You don't.  But the limit on the size of photos here is huge, IMO.   And needs to come down.  I don't know enough to know how it can be done but there must be a way.

  • I just tested it with the biggest photo I own and there was no limit.

For years my sister told me to get an iPhone and I resisted. Eventually got one and I love it. I also have a cordless vac - so much lighter than my heavy Dyson. All my purchases of tech are well thought through and not just a case of getting the latest model. I don't change anything unless it breaks and when I do buy something new when the old one still works(ie camera) I hand my old one on. I only bought the new one as it gave me options I needed. So I don't think I have hopped on to the consumerism and waste bandwagon. Or at least I don't think so.

Of course all that falls to bits when I go to the garden centre - I see it, I want it, I buy it. So what if it is not all that hardy - I convince myself my excellent(?) gardening skills will see it through a Scottish winter - not!!
