The £ has actually been quite stable against the €. It’s currently 1.12 and has not ventured outside 1.10 - 1.16 for the past year.

On the 10th of June 2016 the pound bought 1.28€.   One week after the B vote it had dropped to 1.19€.    One year later it was just over 1.13 and 2 years later it was at just under 1.13.    This week it has gone down to 1.1€.   A stable decline?

Glad you enjoyed your trip AB but, in my experience, Austria is a very expensive place to buy coffee, meals and, presumably, Xmas goodies in the markets and everything else.   Try Aachen nextyear for your Xmas market adventure, or Cologne.

My daughter went to Germany last year to the Christmas markets she shopped around and got flights for£23.00 each.  They loved it, and bought a few bits but just wanted to go for the atmosphere.

The B***** effect was surely a positive one.  You have actually come home with more money in your pocket than you would have pre-B*****.  Every cloud..... :)

I said something similar to friends recently.  It's so rare for a politician to get nearly everybody pulling in the same direction.  Unfortunately for her, it ain't the direction she wants to take us.
