I know you love yours Lyn, but I seem to hear lots of folk complaining about negative aspects of theirs regarding updates and stuff. I still prefer a keyboard where I can use more than one finger to type. I don't think I could " touch type" with an iPad .
I can type much faster on the iPad, no shift keys, I think people don’t get the most out of them, predictive spellings, you have a choice of what words it’s going to type, very easy, and easy to reduce photos.

Right, I'm now UBER curmudgeonly . Hubby was placing dumpy sacks in place ready for woodchip filling: I took the trailer up to bring the first batch down, the tree surgeons turned up with another load. So far so good. I thought I'd put more air in the (crappy, cracking ) tyres as they were a wee bit soft and BANG, the flippin' thing burst on me. If that wasn't bad enough, I've called the supplier who A: can't supply new wheels/tyres and B: can't find any mention of the size of the axle which would let me go buy one somewhere else.
ipad no, "smart phone", no, PC on the desk, only got that because youngest daughter needed it for school. As for that predictive, drives me mad, get texts from my kids, cant make head nor tail of them. Heating on, NOOOO, it was 4d last night, I actually slept! Outside, temp that it I didnt sleep outside! I would be happy with the 4 tog duvet all year. Cant cope with all this new technology, what will happen when it all crashes, people laugh at me for a having a "phone book", lovelly 50s photos in it, numbers and addresses. Last year my eldest daughters phone went wrong she took it in for repair and lost all her numbers including mine!

people laugh at me when I fetch my Filofax to retrieve phone numbers/ notes / addresses. "you could have all that on a smart phone" they say, smugly. " what happens to your smart phone when you do this?" Then I drop it on the floor. Blank face. "And my filofax has never "crashed" and there's not battery to charge/ run out and ,I've never accidentally "deleted" anything from it. I bought it over 30 years ago and it costs me nothing to carry on using it.
