It occurred to me while was doing a mindless kitchen task that seems to be gender-specific (note how I, fleet of foot, avoid sexism o:) )
Kitchens and Curry's are full of gadgets for heating food quickly. What I really need is a domestic gadget that cools food down quickly -like an anti-microwave.
I could put leftovers straight into the fridge or freezer, or, more importantly, cool wine or beer.

Many many years ago Tomorrow's World did that for April Fools B3. My ex would not be convinced that it was a joke. They made an instant ice lolly.  :D

You need an old fashioned larder with stone shelves

The last time I saw one around here, it was strolling across a dual carriageway.
Is it true or an urban myth that there are two strains of hedgehog -the ones that roll into a ball at the sign of danger and the ones that leg it? The ones that leg it ,apparently, have survived and bred in urban areas and the others get run over.

For cooling food down in a hurry I usually put things outside. Not great for beer, but good for cake that needs icing. You can use the fridge / freezer. Not good for cake but good for beer. It's not very eco but it does work. Bake off and Master Chef use a blast chiller. I'm always shoving a bottle of white in the freezer. Occasionally I have forgotten a bottle of fizz.

    It's hotter outside than inside.
Anti-matter /anti microwave. Are you lurking on the forum Mr Dyson? We don't need a £400 hairdryer!

An anti-matter generator would be useful.

    Black clouds in the sky.
I put out my washing as a sacrifice to the rain gods.
They rejected my offering and the clouds have moved on.
I've even bought a sun hat and factor 30. That usually heralds the end of summer. That hasn't worked either
