Love that LauraRoslin, going to borrow that! I was annoyed by an R**CA doorstep chugger who started with the cute furry animals bit, just emotional blackmail. Told him I'd rather help people so N**CC would be getting the money.

I have a convenient upstairs window so I can run up and see if the chuggers or bible bashers are out in force. They always travel in packs.

One of the advantages of living a mile down a private track. Very few people with a map or sat nav can find us without being talked in - we don't get cold callers. We've had JW's turn up once in the nearly ten years we've been here. I think the news he'd have to walk a mile back to the road and then another 2 miles just to reach the next door neighbour may have tested his faith somewhat.

We live opposite a fork in the road - a convenient drop off point for people with a ticket to heaven . They come in battalions and pairs.
That being said, there are many lonely people who would welcome human contact in whatever form.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

It takes a great deal of effort to cold call here as like you RG I live in the sticks. They work in pairs. One drives and one jumps out.  :D
OH had a cold caller a couple of weeks ago and we nearly fainted. His makes my place look positively urban. Luckily he didn't call during the day...OH, knowing his place is really secluded, isn't a big fan of clothes!!!

I have a very private rear garden, I have been known to go out to the(rear) garage door to get spare milk out of the spare fridge, without a lot of clothes on.... and then the chinook going to the local barracks flies over.
