    Another grump, unrelated...

My Grand Central train from Kings Cross to Halifax was cancelled on Friday, 15 mins before it was due to leave (coming home from the Physic Garden etc).  The guys on the info desk consulted Grand Central, who gave passengers the option of a) going to Halifax on the next GC train, which wasn't until the following morning, or b) buying a new ticket for the LNER service and getting on the next Leeds train (because our original tickets weren't valid except on GC trains), and claim the cost back later from Grand Central.  Sleeping overnight in Kings Cross station didn't appeal, not surprisingly, so I took option b), at a cost of £71.95, hoping I'd get the connection in Leeds for the last local train of the day.  (I did - by 10 mins.)

I spoke to a bored woman on Customer Services at Grand Central on Monday.  "Can you tell me how to claim back the £71.95 it cost, please?"  "We didn't advise you to buy a ticket for another service.  You should have waited for the next Grand Central train."  "Would you have paid for an overnight stay in a London hotel?"  Silence.  Then "send all the details in an email to Customer Services..."

I'm not holding my breath for a quick resolution... but if they don't cough up they'll have a fight on their hands.

Liri - I'm FF and now use dress patterns that have adjustments for cup sizes.  They only do up to D for some obscure reason but at least I know where to do modifications.   Vogue do some and McCalls and Simplicity but you have to wade thru the whole listing to find them.  No separate section.  With experience, you also learn which patterns are adjustable and where to do it and also which shapes disguise or suit the bigger boob best.

Back to grumping - OH wants his dinner in time to come and watch the football in the living room on teh big screen.  I've planned roast chuck and we normally eat at 8pm-ish.  Not sure i'll be hungry by 7pm, llet alone read yto cook in time to eat then.  Busy girl.   Can't change for tomorrow as we're off out to a concert so need a late lunch or early dinner ......

Maybe you need better biosecurity. I had a few crop up in my garden after (I assume) walking along the river with the dog and tracking the seeds home on my muddy boots. I haven't seen it growing anywhere within miles of here so it must have been me. Could have caused an outbreak if I didn't know what I was looking at :#

We've not been anywhere where we've seen any for the past goodness knows how long.  The Broads Authority are pretty hot on it.

They'll have come from over the fence ... all three within a square foot patch at one side of the veg patch next to fence ... I'll have to squint through NDN's fence panels next time I wait at the bus stop and see if there's any plants in there (it's usually a pretty bare garden tbh) then at least I'll know what I'm up against.

Had neighbours move into next door at the last place who decided that a garden packed with nothing by Him. Balsam was great  :/

Could it have been birds, er, 'sitting' on the fence?

I'm a size 10/12 except for my ridiculous JJ frontage!!! Try dressing that!
The thing I've noticed over the years is that when I meet people I haven't seen for a while they always comment on my weight loss. I haven't lost it because I didn't put any on.
It seems that the abiding memory of me is of a fat bird!!! The last thing that disappears from the memory is my enormous frontage...bit like the Cheshire Cat's grin!
