We record everything usually get it on download but then FF all the ads. the tv has to put them on, it’s what pays for the programmes, and tv licence money goes to pay so called ‘top stars’, Jeremy Clarkson and the one that does the football’ ridiculous amounts of wages.

I'm pretty sure the BBC and Jeremy Clarkson have parted company. The licence fee also provides all the BBC radio stations for free. You don't have to have a licence to listen to the radio.
I'm happy to pay my licence fee for ad free radio. I also assume that my share goes straight to paying David Attenborough which is always a good use of my money.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I realise that advertising is a necessary evil where commercial stations are concerned, but ten minutes of repetitive ads at fifteen minute intervals is counterproductive if you lose your listeners.
I was talking about the radio. I tend to watch 3 or 4 programmes at a time on television so I don't really see the adverts! My TV surfing drives my husband the wall.
