Feeling hot hot hot

Well I thought today early start , factor 50, sun hat and cold drink on hand. Got to get the paving edges raked out and the roses deadheaded. Well that was 9ish. Only lasted till 10.30 as too hot, burnt and temperature up to 24C. Only half the paving done. Maybe tomorrow.😁

    Isn't it a scorcher! I watered the garden for about an hour at 7 then packed the family up for a day at the lido as it's too hot for anything else but pool time and ice creams. Have a couple of gardening mags with me and hubby off on parent duty in the pool so life is good  :#

    Was away for a few days at the coast (Hunstanton) last week. Grey skies for two of the three days, but for all that temperate days not too hot to visit stately homes and sea breezes made it a good break. Would have been too hot for me now.😁

    I find I have never spent so much time indoors during the summer.....trying to stay cool

    But it's been good for getting the holiday wash done and have managed to wash and dry bedroom curtains too.😁

    Neither me or the dog are wanting to got outside in this weather.   Well, he does but he's just lying in the sun, barely moving for hours.   

    I've fed the birds but the garden will just have to wait until tonight.  It's far too hot to do anything out there.  

    I hate this weather.

    Too hot for me as well. Have tried to do some gardening these last few days but have had to call it quits after an hour each day. Am drinking gallons of water. In the 20 years I have been here I have never had to water the garden as much. Living in Scotland means that apart from pots, the garden only ever needs watered at the most, once in the summer. Not this year. And I am fed up with it. I think if I lived down south where this is the norm, I would be investing in a soaker hose or auto sprinkler system. 
    But I am getting lots of poppies knitted (project for the church!).

    Where are you all living that it's so hot?  I'm in East Anglia and it's about 70F or low 70's today, as it's been for some time, occasionally upper 70's.  Last year I had 95F, that was what I call hot, too hot  to do anything.  This is just pleasant.  Very dry though, that's the issue right now..

    It was 18C when we were in your area last week Marlorena , but when we came home to Lincolnshire it was 22C. Today it is 22C but yesterday  made 26C. 22C is 72F. 😁

    Anything above 22 deg C with no breeze is too hot for me! Never been able to take heat. It was 26 deg + yesterday.

    Anything below 18C is too cold for me. I'm loving every minute of this weather.
    It's 29C here and I'm about to hit the sunbed for the rest of the afternoon. 
    My tan is coming along fabulously.
