Going up to Scotland for a week shortly.  It's the place we spent all our holidays as a kid and holds fond memories.  The downside is this is the first visit since the last of my Scottish relatives died and I'm dreading it.

I am thankful Hubby was wearing his helmet when he hit a tree root on his bicycle and went over the handlebars. New helmet needed. A & E avoided. Gravel rash will heal. Thanks to the man at Nottingham University who invented Ibuprofen, (and Boots for funding the research)

Last night my wife was told that the cancer tests came back negative after some extensive retesting. It was a bit like VAR. She has had cancer six times before in the last 14 years (brain tumour twice, breast cancer twice, mouth cancer twice plus a brain aneurysm) and I thought she just cannot go through all this again. Fortunately not.

We can now look forward to a placid summer enjoying our lovely garden and socialising with our wonderful neighbours. Life is good.
