I really have to disagree about tomatoes bought in a shop tasting just as good as home grown ones! There's no comparison in my opinion.

Tomatoes don’t taste as good from the shops, maybe a local farm shop would where a local gardener has supplied them. Not supermarket ones though.

I have bucket loads here Hosta, thank you!  You should try to sell them at The Strawberry Fields in Lifton, or out a stall outside your house.
Problem is everyone else has bucket loads as well, and I have a mountain of runner beans every day, no freezer space left, not that I like them frozen.  Anyone else like fish chips and runner beans🤮

I am going to try a runner bean and courgette chutney Lyn will let you know how it goes. Next year I will be growing both but less! I like the flowers on moonlight and they have certainly been productive!

I don’t grow fruit and veg really.

I have a blueberry that doesn’t seem mature enough to fruit, a cherry tree that doesn’t fruit, and a raspberry (polka) that hasn’t tried yet.

My bay has struggled but I’m moving that to the “herb area” and into a planter, might add another.

Id like to get a lemon and olive in planters but not sure the best time to buy. Maybe orange...but I suspect I’m being influenced with this being my first growing/gardening year and all the sun we’ve had!  It’ll all die in the winter, then we’ll have a miserable cold year in 2019 :)

I agree, shop bought ones are so much better.
