Neat anti-freeze apparently works as a deterrent ; but you didn't hear that from me ! ;)

Simply relating what I've heard ; used to own two Siamese and two Burmese cats many years ago , so wouldn't dream of instigating anything so nasty !

I think that with access to the Internet so readily available , anyone can find out virtually anything they want to know , toxins included .
There are numerous websites on poisons and their sometimes dire effects .
Is your book personally written ? If a published work , it is possible it's viewable somewhere online .

I assumed that most people already knew that !
It was certainly no effort to post the information , just a simple matter of depressing a few lettered keys .
What was initiated as supposedly light-hearted , (hence the Emoji) , is apparently evolving into yet another argument .
A cat can be killed with a powerful air-rifle (obviously) , but now I've stated that fact  I'm not expecting to hear of suppliers selling out in the next 24-hours .
    People already know that !

Of course there's no risk to your pet's health from antifreeze if you keep it on your own property...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

It's amazing that antifreeze is still allowed to be produced with an attractive taste to animals while also being highly toxic to them. I bought some screenwash recently that smells just like Ribena. who thought that was a good idea? The PetMD.com advice is useful although I've yet to have a knock on the door from a cat owner trying to educate me on how to protect their pet while it's on my property sadly.

''As a pet owner, you should be aware of the toxicity of ethylene glycol containing antifreeze and take precautions to safeguard your pets and other animals from potential sources of ethylene glycol. As much as possible, educate your family, social contacts and community about the hazards of ethylene glycol and how to protect animals. If your cat tends to go out of doors regularly, you will want to make a habit of checking the neighborhood for spills -- such as the type that would occur in driveways or curbside when someone refills the coolant/antifreeze chamber in a car's engine.''

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
