Cat Problem

I had to visit a building site yesterday and the local cats are using the whole place as a toilet and they really weren't covering it up. The builders are having to clear up a lot of mess every day but it's still getting tracked about everywhere. It's in their vans, all up the ladders, basically anywhere that they walk. It was ok in the dry weather but after the rain it's disgusting there. They're wrecking building materials and the owner is getting very annoyed that he's basically paying to clean up after all these cats. Dark words were being muttered about what is going to get buried under the concrete.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Are they sure it's cats and not foxes. i wouldn't think cats would visit a noisy and unfamiliar building site?

As gross as it is the only thing that seems to have helped here is making sure where they do mess I get rid of it. They're creatures of habit and return to poop over and over. For our veg patch we ended up putting a net over and olbas oil round the edges.

The only thing that keeps cats out of your garden is a big cantankerous boss Tom of your own :)

All my beds are covered in netting now, which is a great shame, but it's the only way to stop them becoming a toilet.

We had to extract a family of five kittens from inside the half built walls on a building site where OH was working. Then we managed to trap the mother. While doing that we accidentally also caught the cat that was probably Dad - we let him go because we couldn't be sure he was a stray. They were all hanging around the building site and all caught on the site itself. So they definitely will stay on a noisy building site.

I have cats coming into my garden every day . I have only twice  found partially consumed birds over nearly three decades .However  I do feed these lovely creatures and I have no problems with them . I have three cats of my own ,but I do have a closed in cat run to keep them safe from predatory humans like you who think it’s ok to inflict pain on cats just because  they poo in your garden . When you think of what the human race has done to our lovely planet there is absolutely no contest.

Since when did I say that I'd inflict pain on them? I just want to do my best to keep them out of my garden! And I'm sorry but to people who don't have them & are allergic to them they can be real pests! Cat owners have no clue when it comes to the things that non cat owners have to deal with. If my dog crapped in someone's garden I'd get in trouble so why should I have to deal with someone else's animal! Read my post again I want to keep them out not go around shooting them with BB guns for goodness sake!
