@Joyce21,..Joyce if you find it difficult to find either of the Phygelius let me know as i can root some for you.
Ditto weather wise,..we had a hard winter in 2010,..lots of snow,..since then we had no snow remaining on the ground until this past winter,..my dog freaked out over a Snowman,..she is only three years old and so never seen snow or a Snowman.
At present there is a purple glow in the garden from Geranium x magnificum 'Cranesbill Geranium',..its a hardy geranium and multiplies,..easy to keep for anyone not having this plant,..as can be seen below i have it in several locations,..depending on the sun and light it shows from purple to blue.
I wish my Geraniums looked that good! I've got Mrs Kendall Clarke and I don't like them! They are too tall and not enough blooms! I've grown Petunias from seed called Sparkler or Firework and now they're flowering I am wondering why I bothered. Two real disappointments! I hope my Penstemons grown from seed are more to look at.😁
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
@Cagzo,..those Mrs Kendall Clark Geraniums look a nice bloom,..i have never had them but the growing and caring conditions are the same as,.. Geranium x magnificum 'Cranesbill,..mine are just over 60Cm and have to be supported as they would block the pathways,..i take it yours are of a similar height?.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you that your Penstemons make you smile,..a nice choice and a tall plant.
The new rose,..another No Id,..which bloomed this week didn't appeal to me at all and i was undecided whether to keep it or dispose of it,..the first bloom appeared during the rainy day and looked as below.
Then on a sunny day things looked a tad better.
Then even better again,..a keeper i think.
My Hosta plants are starting to bloom,..they grew beyond other years width and height,..not a sign of a snail or slug.
Oh yes,I would keep the rose,a gorgeous delicate pink. I'm looking forward to seeing my hostas in flower, they are right on the point of it,and like yours, still not been munched on!! Yes I think the geranium needed one of those ringed stake things,a bit late for this year!

@Cagzo,..i will keep it,..i imagine i was not impressed with it due to it being a bit raggy at the time,..yep delicate pink it is.
I have so many of those Geraniums that the ringed stakes would not work so i placed a stake at each end plus one in the middle and tied twine along it,..the same for front back and sides.
Oh i am just looking at a video i made for a friend in Texas who grows lots of Iris,..you might like the colours,..i have five of the one below.

Overhead,..Rose ( Rosa 'Handel' )
New Delphinium Bloomed,..looks like Delphinium 'Magic Fountains Lilac Pink',..classed as a Dwarf,..only growing 90Cm as compared to my others 180Cm.
