Not been to allotment for a few days everything is sort of in limbo at the moment. I was going to sow a few broad beans in modules in the poly tunnel (cold) then they forecast a cold snap so have put that off for a week or so.
First lot of onion sets turned up yesterday (Sturon)
Ordered some new cloches twin wall polycarbonate cant afford glass and anyway to risky with possible breakages and injuries.
I will call in today just to check but no plans to do anything

I were this morning at my cottage garden and everything is covered with snow. Last friday was snow storm. I only put more sunflower seeds for birds. Today forest behind my garden look like this:
That looks beautiful Azaric - but I'm glad we haven't got that much snow here!
I just cut up the hedge prunings I did yesterday but after a quick chat with OH have decided after all to get the hedge man in - it's too big and too hard a job for us (shoulder playing up again). He'll take it all away as well (at a price) but it's worth the money to get it done quickly. Then I can get cracking on the other outstanding jobs.
Had a few plans but couldn’t face bare hands in the soil today (gloves hidden in the Christmas tidy up). Just need to pot up some bulbs really as it’s late already.
I love snow @Ante30 that looks beautiful, but I’ve read that there’s been record snowfall in the eastern Alps - hope it’s not burying you in Croatia?
@Tin pot I`m on coast so here is never so much snow but my garden is on 600 m above see level and you can see situation. This week wether forecast is strong wind and more snow even on coast and islands. But this is the last strong winter kick here.
bit more at plot small shed building, did plant up the other day 1 planter and hanging basket with violas and some grasses and bulbs - still lots of bulbs I should of planted not got there yet but will do
We continued cleaning the small conservatory/greenhouse this morning. OH pruned and sprayed the bougainvillea whilst I repotted some dahlia tubers in a good compost type mix (leaves, grass cuttings, kitchen waste etc) and topped them with gravel. I didn't water them as I don't want to start their growth just yet. The dahlia pots will be staying in the relative shelter of the GH for a couple of months yet until I see some growth.
Later on I pruned a small group 3 clematis and moved some established foxgloves which I hope will flower this year.
I had another go at the berberis hedge from the roadside this time with the aim of trying to identify and isolate the clematis armandii I planted our side about 10 years ago. Didn't find much of that (why?) but did find our neighbour across the road had probably planted 3 clumps of honeysuckle along the hedge, which complicates the big chop.
