Hubby is out as we speak, tidying up our front border, which is full of stuff from next door, grass, valerian, dandilions, I have just had a mosy, and there is a fuschia called Pink Fizz I bought from Homebase, a couple of years back not very big about 18 inches and still happily flowering. Godd job I didnt deside to wait for a frost to black my dahlias, we havent had any.He has been going bungalow crazy. 3-4 months ago, he fell backwards coming back down the Downs with the dogs, hyperextended his left arm, back and forth Dr,Hospital,Cosultant, he has damaged the rotator cuff in the shoulder, had 3 weeks weeks off work, was unable to do very much. he was almost finnished replacing next doors fence grrrr, and we had a summerhouse delivered in November, which was meant to have had 3-4 coats of the waterproofing stuff aplied, BUT only if it was going to be dry for the following 48 hours, frankly, we only had one day each week of November when it didnt rain. I am just checking on seedlings in the greenhouse, watering the indoor stuff, theres a lot of it. The mouse ate my sweet peas, second sowing, I left the lid off the propogator one sunner day, then didnt go out and check the next few very wet ones, the lilltle blighter had just eaten the seed, so of course the tops keeled over.I bought him new seceteurs for Christmas which he has used, and a heat gun weed killer for the drive and paving yet to be tried.
Was going to cut the old leaves off the hellebores but this morning pulled a muscle in my back. Hubby told me to take it easy. All i've done is walk barley and Berry.
Not been out today had cabinet maker in and out all day, but I have set up the propagator and lights ready to start off the early veg seed peppers, aubergine's etc and all the seeds I ordered earlier in the week arrived from Suttons so busy busy busy

Just did an hour or so, cutting and pulling out lots of dead stuff from our horrible berberis hedge. If I thin some of it out and cut it down to the ground in the corner, I can get a bigger leaf bin in there, which we sorely need.
Feeling a bit yuck today (not unusual), so just concentrating on feeding the birds, hedgehog and sorting through my seeds - I now have so many plant seeds, but need to renew my courgettes, squash, beetroot, cucumber, tomato, radish and parsley packets. I don't like sowing out of date seed - with all the prep work and cost of seed compost etc it seems only right to start with fresh seed - how do others feel about this. Last year I sprinkled all my out of date flower seed in one patch but very little germinated.
