What a lovely day, somewhere in the low 20s with a bit of cloud and a breeze, perfect. I am so happy, I have been outside all day! Planted quite a few bits too so hoping there might be a bit of rain to help them along.

Geese have been out training for about a week now but it hasn't felt right until today, seemed wrong in the heat and sunshine even though the evenings are drawing in.

Bit fresher today thanks to a few small showers. Will check the pots though, as some are under a bit of a ledge and often need a water despite rain. I have really noticed the shorter evenings this week - bit sad about that.

If it’s clear this weekend - chance to see the meteor shower 💫

Cooler now this evening, but it was schorchio again today after being bareable early morning.
Definitely summer clothes here. And no quilts during the night, just a sheet and even that's too hot😥

19C and raining, brilliant!  Lovely rain, the gentle and persistent sort that waters without destruction.  Closed the greenhouse last night (nearly forgot as I haven't bothered for ages) and haven't opened it up this morning. Wonderful to feel alive again after all the withering heat  :)

30mm of rain in the early hours and much cooler this morning.  Clouds still around but no rain forecast for the next 10 days but no serious scorchio either.

Looks like northern France and half of Belgium have had a welcome soaking.

Started raining here during the early hours and hasn't stopped at all. But it's not too heavy and just the sort of rain to peek up all the plants etc in the garden. Still quite warm though, have windows open and would love the patio doors open too.
Looks like it's here for the day so the water butts should fill a little.

  • Very pleasant here too now, after a few showers during the night and early morning, an overcast morning - it is now sunny, breezy and feeling very comfortable outside.
