Much cooler these last few days............late teens to early 20's.  Our hot spell seems to be over, still no rain here though.

Yes @GWRS I have a fan, several polar packs (including a cute frozen frog for my neck), doors and windows open, curtains closed and I still wake up every morning with a heat rash. Just about calm it down and then ......... and repeat, and repeat

@Mary370 I dream of anything less than 25C

They are talking about it cooling down a bit for the weekend but not before new record highs. I have had enough of it now, I would be very happy with a max of 23 again.

Hot (28 deg) and dry again in Doncaster (over two months without anything much more than a tiny bit of drizzle - fed up of it now).  Forecast even hotter over the next couple of days, but with a chance of some rain tomorrow evening, and a better chance on Friday - at last :)
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

I think I am acclimatised to the plus 25 heat now! It is supposed to be even warmer tomorrow here but I spy rain Saturday and Sunday!!! Will it be enough to actually water the garden and fill the butts though...
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Don't believe it @AuntyRach..........weather forecast has shown rain over our area on the map several times over the past few weeks..........I think they're only kidding with us!
  • Warm and wall to wall sunshine 22.7 and rising, again the little  >:) tell us to expect torrential rain and thunderstorms always on a Friday for the last four weeks and what have we had a shower 1.0mm last Saturday @ 5am did nothing.

I guess if they keep predicting it at some point they will get lucky.

To that end I forecast snow.  :|

Very warm here but overcast. Heat rash manageable this morning but a banging headache which usually means a thunderstorm! 'They' might be right - but I'm saying nothing in case Providence is listening. Usually get a runny nose for rain but its so messed up I'm still hoping..........
