Fruit Hosta? FRUIT? What's that about? Glad you're getting some progress with your ills. Hope you get a solution. It's been a long time. Thanks LG, BL and Chicky. I'm struggling to keep up and remember what's been said. Takes too long to type left handed, but too much with the right one makes me ache. BL - what have you done that you need painkillers? They gave me Cocodamol at the hospital but they made me feel dreadful so i didn't take them. Hi steephill - I saw that news, and one of the girls at work did too. She wondered if it was me! I might be mad, but I'm not that daft Glad you got your leak sorted Joyce. What a pain. I saw 'hurl' and thought of a different meaning.... Thinking of you doc. Keep pottering and doing what you can. Making a decision often makes it easier to deal with everything. I've been waging war with the starlings who've been trying to get into the roof of the extension to nest. Foiled them and they've gone across to the roof they usually nest in, but when I was doing my exercises earlier I saw a couple of very determined and acrobatic jackdaws pushing their way into the gable end of a house further along the road with bits of grass etc. Bet they're noisy! Lovely pic chicky
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Goodness me ... last week you wouldn't have thought you'd need to come in out of the midday heat!!! We need cooling drinks!!! Last time I was gardening in this heat was the day I fell and broke my foot
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't do that again then Dove. Glorious here as well, have now had to move to some of the shady beds, as too hot to garden in the sun. OH has come home, which is lovely, but unfortunately due to not getting through 2nd. stage of interviews.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Oh pdoc. She must be so disappointed and now, presumably, will start job hunting for a new place? Hugs to both.
Dove - I wasn't ready to show my legs but have had to come in and put on some shorts. Way too hot for jeans now. Still digging out Spanish bluebells here...........

Trying hard not to @punkdoc .... the fact that OH is still at home without a job is proving useful as I'm a bit trepidatious doing stuff out in the garden if I'm on my own ... daft really as I'm just a slip of a thing at 27, but that accident really took the wind out of my sails ... I was so close to knocking my head on the concrete birdbath ...
My legs are still in jeans Obs, but I've come indoors for a sandwich and a cold drink ... the terrace will soon be in the shade and then I'll go back out there and faff around.
We've got a big wodge of Gala Pie, salady stuff and nice bread for supper ... not cooking weather ... there's some beer in the fridge too.

Still digging out S bluebells but those that are left are wrapped in the root system of a trumpet vine so a bit awkward. Work stopped to chat with neighbours who are also out doing their first serious bit of gardening this year. I may have pink shoulders this evening. It takes days of serious sunbathing to get even pale pink legs for some reason.
Cooker man has been and fixed the gas burners on the Rangemaster I brought from Belgium. Proper cake and pavlova oven so couldn't leave it behind but different gas for the hob here. 79€ so a bit of a bargain.
Have to agree. Having an OH around to do the heavy lifting is very handy.
I don't do André Rieu either Hosta. Or Carmen.
