I've just seen a recommendation for the Welsh equivalent of GW / Beechgrove:
    https://www.s4c.cymru/en/factual/garddio-a-mwy/
It's on Mondays at 8.25pm and is in Welsh, but there are apparently English subtitles (and you get to listen to Welsh, which is a bonus imo). I've set it to record and will see how it goes 🙂

    Edited to add:
For those of us not in Wales

Thank you for the recommendation. It means “gardening and more” (I think).  It’s on iPlayer! You can toggle the subtitles on. You’ll pick up some of the words to learn too, eg. Gwanwyn is Spring! There’s a homepage, and other media links, with articles and recipes etc.

Just watched the first episode. It’s mostly basic gardening but I like that.

    That was quick, @AuntyRach !
I might try to pick up some words, just to confound my daughter. She moved to Cardiff in September and, apart from the odd 'diolch' sticks to English as her many Welsh-speaking hall mates would find her further efforts too excruciating!

I saw that on iPlayer pansyface and wondered if it might be good.

Thanks for the reminder @pansyface - I'd read a good review but then completely forgot about it. Will make a note this time!

Watched an episode of Garddio a Mwy and liked it 🙂

I can recommend Julia on Sky Atlantic.

It plots the launch of Julia Child’s rise to stardom on US TV making cooking shows following the success of her book: Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

There was a movie starring Meryl Streep as Julia a few years back which is also worth a watch (the movie stops with the book).

Sarah Lancashire plays Julia in this version and she is SUBLIME.

Difficult to watch without pausing to get a snack!

I’ve heard great things. Is it set in the 90s?
