Pottery Throwdown is wonderful, probably my fav thing on at the moment. Great about series two of Gentleman Jack. I loved it and felt hugely inspired by her life.
I have subtitles on most of the time, not because I am deaf (I am not yet 50) and I have good sound on my laptop. But about a third of the conversation is mumbled, or off stage or badly recorded. Especially with feature films, it's amazing to read dialogue that you had no clue was ever said or referred to (usually by someone off screen).
Responder will be a bit dark for me at the moment. I love Martin Freeman, though. I don't think of him as a comedy actor.
I really enjoyed “Travelling Blind” BBC 2 last night. Sara Pascoe was an excellent guide to traveller Amar Latif. I found it quite moving to hear what living with blindness is like when ‘site seeing’. A reminder for us all to use all our senses to enjoy nature and the world around us. The idea of ‘experiencing’ things rather than just seeing them was profound to me. A good argument to put those camera phones down and absorb, with all the senses you have, the place you are and the people you are with.
Finale of Call The Midwife tonight. I fear not all who were in the crash will make it. Best programme of the week, particularly as it airs in the miserable Jan/Feb weeks when my Sunday night blues are peak.
@AuntyRach. I have watched every episode from the beginning and you have to concentrate to work out what is going on. You may be able to pick up on it when watching tonight or even find some info on what has gone on before. As long as Cillian Murphy is there I shall be happy! Hope they don't kill him off at the end of the series with this being the last one. You can give it a go and you will soon know if you want to watch it to the end.

Last week's was very emotional.
never watched Peaky Blinders. Do you think I could join in at this point or will that be too difficult??
