  • Watched the Venice one - wonderful!
Lots of views of Venice, with a bit of history thrown in and some lovely gardens.
Monty looked so happy and relaxed too.

@Penny_Forthem. Thank you for letting us know. Really enjoyed the programme and learnt a lot. Beautiful place with some nice people.
Was delighted to see them advertise afterwards that Peaky Blinders is back soon for another series. Will look forward to that especially Cillian Murphy!  :)

Watching Frederick Ashton’s Tales of Beatrix Potter,  still as enthralling as it was 50 years ago. I’ve seen this many times and still love it.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • I caught Kate Humble's Coastal Britain (Ch 5 Friday) on catchup. She was on Holy island, Anglesey, a part of the world I thought I knew well, but even so, I was surprised to learn things. And a friend was in it, so it made it more personal. Recommend it for scenery, plant and bird life.
    Beautiful North Wales - hiraeth

Yes Penny I was the same, having been so many times (usually just to South Stack or The Range) but not strayed too far from the beaten track. But I'm afraid I can only take so much of Kate Humble constantly laughing at her own comments and saying "extraordinary" every other word.
    Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

I quite agree @VictorMeldrew, but  sometimes the scenery is far more magnificent than Kate Humble thinks she is!! Actually, quite often it is.

We watched The Green Planet this evening.  Really good, but I would prefer a bit more in depth understanding of the relationships between plants in one place rather than whizzing about from rain forest t rain forest.

Not a programme but Wordle is unexpectedly fun. Free. A new word each day. Rather addictive. Absurdly pleasing to guess the word in four gos.

Usually in 3/4 @Fire,  I slipped up yesterday and didn’t get it in the 6th go!  Got the starting letter wrong, bad guess.
