I do have Chrome, not as a default browser, but when I tried to use it for this site a message popped up saying it wasn't secure.
That message comes from your anti-virus software trying to be 'helpful'. Depending on your settings it's possible to bypass the message. If security level is set very high it's difficult to get past the message.
BusyL - all KT53 says is correct but in the case of the Forum it is not something that you need to worry unduly about. Just ignore that and sign in as usual.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
@Busy-Lizzie. Looking in to see if you've cracked it yet. Glad you're getting good advice from other laptop users above. Tecnobabble sends me dizzy. I'm willing you on to get it working 😊.
I am using a very old laptop with windows 7 but I do use Chrome. So far I have few problems the only irritation is that all my posts show multiple edits at the bottom whether I have edited or not. This may be due to my old machine though as the curser does have a habit of jumping to another line in the middle of typing.
