What did we do during the " down time"?

Did we all crack on with jobs when the forum was down?

I see Dove has been hitting the parquet . ( ooh erh Missus ) I've managed to split and repot all the water lilies I took from the pond. 2 clumps of a lovely , un-named yellow have yielded 34 new plants.
I'm glad they're all done as it was messy, muddy, cold and smelly.

I potted up dahlias, and did a load of shredding. The shredder need fixing before I do any more. The buddlejas need chopping down.

I've not started on the dahlias. I wait until the start shooting.
I've put a fresh layer of wood chip on the paths down in " the allotment " too.
Next job is repotting the agapanthus.

It's all a bit of a blur to be honest.. Mainly potting on perennials and organising. Potted up the dahlias yesterday as was limited by all the rain, holding off on sowing seeds. Pruned the lace cap hydrangea today and put out the 'honey pot' bumblebee ceramic nest with grass cuttings inside, will work on another entrance tube another day.. Mind you, I haven't seen any large queens around at all yet only solitary bees.

I've not sown anything yet. I've bought lots of summer bulbs from Morrisons though.

I had to sign-up again for some reason and though I could keep the account, had to change into my name lol.

Got quite a few succulents whose identity I'm not quite sure of, Spring-Summer rolled in beautifully so some plants I thought were dying started vigorous growth; like my Murraya, Ixora. Tended to the Lemon tree- it has really tiny fruits now. All the Microcarpa I was worried about have started spouting leaves, almost all the rootings I put have rooted and are showing new growth.

Summers are hot for me  but great for the plants.xd

I had been making a start on tidying up the borders ready for the new growth, but snow stopped play for most of the down-time. I couldn't even get to the shed to collect seed trays to start doing those. It was a great excuse to have a few days of baking and eating it all!
My little seat by the back door is usually safe from the rain, so I leave the blanket/cushions on and have a few pots which I want to protect...

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Not just the parquet ...... every nook and cranny has been cleaned, dusted and polished ... the blinds, windows, radiators, behind radiators, all the bookshelves polished and all the books in the bookshelves have been taken down, dusted and put back, likewise the CDs ... even the knitting wool and patterns have been sorted and organised and all the silver has been polished ....even your Lovely Hub would be impressed ...  we're very proud of ourselves  o:)o:)
