@Hostafan1 ... have you seen the Wobbly Soil thread?  I thought you might have some suggestions ...

What a day, naughty run away dog didn’t come back till lunch time. I had been all over looking for him. Whilst I know he isn’t bothered a bit about sheep farmers don’t and I worry for his safety.  He stank to high heavens when he returned so I confess I enjoyed putting the hose on. Thanks for asking Joyce

My mum had MND and so we often talked about Prof Hawking and how inspirational he was.  The saddest part was there was only a male voice available for her voice machine and she was sad that she couldn’t keep her femininity. We tried to laugh about it

That's tough about your mum, LilyP.  Hopefully the voice machines are now designed with a choice of voices... though I heard a clip from Stephen Hawking's "Desert Island Discs" appearance, when he had to get Sue Lawley to say the name of his last choice, which was "Je ne regrette rien", because his American voice synthesizer couldn't cope with French.
Good news about your naughty dog!   :)

I hope you're not going to be up all night, Hosta, having had a long nap?

College today (mainly lawn-related. What a lot there is to know about lawns :o). Then straight to Bow's parents' evening, which was lovely, although she, for some reason, thinks she's doing terribly. Perhaps we need to watch that.

Like everyone else, I'm very sad about Stephen Hawking. This is tempered by the knowledge that he was given two years to live in 1963, so did pretty well really... but still, what a great loss to the world.

I suppose I'd better get to bed.
