Sad that Ken Dodd is gone.   The taxi drivers will certainly miss him. His shows used to go on, and on, and on. Often finishing at 1 in the morning when the stage hands turned the lights off. The taxis all made double bubble. ( late night rate)
I saw him in Nottingham, 40 years ago, went on stage and got a tickling stick for my effort.  I saw him again in Mansfield 10 years ago. Still as funny. As he said, if you have to resort to crude and swearing, you are not funny, just embarrassing. A little innuendo went a long way.  He married his long term partner two days before he died. So the tax man won't be getting his money yet.  :'(

    Morning, very foggy here

Chicky sounds like you all had a super day. Chicklet must be so pleased you were there
Fidget we loved Ken Dodd, apparently he was much sought after as an after dinner speaker.
    Punk take it easy

GWRS keep going. I am getting better every day I hope!

    Morning all.

Good to hear that it's all fab, Chicky. Hope your return all goes smoothly - when are you back at work?
Hope everyone had a good weekend, and that ukelele group went well, Pat. You'll have to post a video of you playing :)
Well done with finding a way to help from the UK, punkdoc. Hope it's a productive day.

I've just remembered that I've got 10 houseplants to learn before Wednesday. I'm clueless about houseplants so I'd best get on with it. Rainy today so some shed sorting and h***ework to do too.

    Morning all.
GWRS I'm having problems I never had before but they seem to be fixed for everyone else.  :/ I never lost posts before and now I do and they turn up hours later...or not at all.
As they say round here...bog on till your nose bleeds!!!!  :) I hope we'll get used to it eventually!  :|

Morning all from a very wet Kingswinford. Hoping to move seedlings from dining table to frost free greenhouse today but don't fancy getting soaked.
Chilling in bed at the mo with a cuppa waiting for heating to warm up. Have a good flight home Chicky. Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all.
Our last day in Norfolk, back to France tomorrow. My daughter No 2 & OH & 2 children will be here next. They live in France too. Must make up the mattresses for the GCs.

Hoping my own Laptop works better with this site.

I've got a hideous ,stinking cold. The full works of headache, running / blocked nose, sandpaper throat, the lot.
    Feeling very sorry for myself.
Do I go and start weeding the hosta tunnel or not?
