We've decided to head out to a farm shop in the countryside to stock up on the makings of some 'cold weather meals' and bird food and make sure the car battery is fully charged up for the low temperatures they're promising us. Brrrrrrrr!!!

IMHO , anyone who wants to own a machine gun capable of firing hundreds of bullets a minute should be deemed " incompetent and dangerous to society"
Good afternoon. Shopping done. Lunch on its way. Brilliant sunshine but perishing cold (for here) so no gardening today except for harvesting some beets for soup and cabbage for dinner.
Hope the interview has gone well Wonky. How about you Clari? Good luck for the auction WW and I hope OH's op has gone well Busy.
DL - state sponsored, endemic drug misuse? For decades?
Pdoc - fine by me. Any news on your road blockage?
Dove - have yet to discover a farm shop or farmers' market here but there are, apparently, some places that sell their own produce so a tour will be in order come the spring.
Joyce and Hosta - agree. Anyone who thinks guns make good toys/accessories is of questionable intelligence and sanity. As for armint teachers, my flabber is utterly ghasted.
G'day Pat.

First thing I'd meant to say was good luck Wonky with the job interview and the auction.

I've just had my hair cut. I think I'll be wearing a hat for a while, apart from the top it's V short. Grade 1 if that means anything to anyone.
Wonky, mucho excitemundo re interview and auction. Keep us informed.
Does to me Hosta.
I used to have mine a No.1 all over, but decided it made me look too much of a thug.
I have a slight problem in that I have no coverage at all over at least half my head, so the semi shaved look is probably the best.

Hi everyone. Busy watching claims of UFOs on tv, also watched another episode of a Mary Beard on the Roman history stuff. Very compelling.
I never watch Bondi rescue - suspect it’s a bit of exaggerated b.s. but I guess the scenery and the people trying to help people might be interesting.
When we were in Sydney in 2001 we went to Bondi, took one look and headed south.
I usually love the programmes on history but I do find Mary Beard very hard work.
