It's 23 years ago today that I thought I was going out for our usual Tuesday evening drink with a group of friends from art school, and discovered that a certain young man had 'dis-invited' the others and it was just the two of us image image image image image image

Dove , open anyone's fridge in Russia and you will find kefir , along with smetana (sour cream) and of course mayonnaise. My wife loves it but I am not into it at all ....the texture makes me heave image

I had a feeling that might be the case ... I remember a Russian lady of our acquaintance saying that not one of her husbands would drink kefir unless she made them image

I've never once heard The Archers, but congrats on the "anniversary" Dove.

    That was romantic, Dove.

Thank you Joyce, but oh dear! I now find I have to wear mild glasses for housework.

Owner of house next door has just called round. It was rented for ages but the young woman has moved and he's going to do it up and sell it. It's bigger than I thought, looks like one up, one down from the outside, has 2 decent bedrooms, he showed us round.

Never had kefir but one of my scientists was researching it in Belgium and waxes lyrical about its health benefits - this form a PhD who only recently gave up smoking and, tho very thin, has high BP.  She's working on her diet now......    I used to sue smetana a lot when we lived in Harrow but have never seen it since we crossed the Channel to live so I use crème épaisse which is soured cream or else Greek style yoghurt.

Back from dancing and having a glass of wine before bed.  Have never listened to the Archers either but happy anniversary Dove.

Fingers crossed for OH tomorrow Busy.
