    bed of wallflowers planted early last summer.....flowering now. ....I thought they'd flower in the Autumn.

    That's going to be a blaze of colour Mary and lots of scent from the flowers too.

    A 'weed' is just a plant in the wrong place - subjective! ;)

    Thank you, not sure it’s supposed to look dainty, think it’s still sulking from being split last year!

    Been looking through some of the photos in this thread, they are really great as ever, lots of inspiration.

    Don't they need a period of cold to trigger growth and flowering? So, plant in the autumn, let winter chill them and up they pop in the spring! I forget what they do in the summer as it's been a while since I've grown any.
