Sarracenias and most other carnivorous plants like lots of sun.

@Jules41 , the anemone is a form of the native wood anemone - bone hardy, great under trees, spreads happily - about 3-4" tall.  I love them - my garden is very shady.  I also have a blue-flowered single one which is very happy:

    - and the wild one, too.

@KeenOnGreen , I'm a sucker for single paeonies.  Your 'Bowl of Beauty' is stunning!   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

@KeenOnGreen lovely photos, esp. all your anemones,  Anemone nemorosa 'Vestal' , the blue-flowered single one and the wild one:) . But your photo of Lamium orvala is blurred. :(
Not so easy to tell the name of your geranium without photos of the whole plant and details of the leaf.
Must say I'm not too keen of recent photos of cats, which I find out of place on this thread named "garden gallery". ;)

I had that geranium id for me the other day, DGM identified it as Geranium magnificum - and so it is

Flumpy, your parents have a lovely backdrop for their garden.  It makes such a difference when you don't have to hide unwanted buildings etc beyond your patch.   :)

Papi Jo, the anemones - and the blurred Lamium orvala - are mine... all photographed with my mobile phone, so not perfect.  I didn't notice it was blurred until I'd posted it... still love that spotted, frilled lip though.

Sussexsun, I used to have 2 white cats too - Gracie, with blue eyes, died a couple of years ago.  Vera, her sister, has green eyes.   :)
