    Happy New Year

I have done a little bit of  gardening today. Watered the overwintering plants in the shed and put the  chicken wire covers on the pots of bulbs to keep the squirrels off.

The snow drops are about to flower. I have an awful lot of them they seem to really like my garden soil.  A relative gave me some "in the green" several years ago and they do much better in my garden.

I have a lovely Helleborus Madame Lemonnier showing. The mild autumn has messed with it's timing though.

We’ve been out picking berries in the garden and I’ve done three loads of washing.

    Hubby cooked up the berries.

It is really humid outside - I can’t stop sweating.image I think we could actually get some rain. The clouds rolled over while I hanging the third load of washing on the line and then a flock of Black Cockatoos flew over screaming their message that rain is on the way. image We’ll see.

Our neighbour across the river has been picking up his big bales of lucerne with the tractor and loading them onto the truck and rushing them over to the hay shed. It’s all go, go, go here.image

now I’ve just got to keep checking thevwashing to see which ones can come in. Sigh! I’m already worn out.

    hello everyone.image

Oh, and before you ask, the berry plants were given to me by an elderly lady who I know in the village and she called them mulberries (Which is obviously incorrect) so I’ve decided to call them Loganberries, but not sure. They appear every summer with no help from us.

Lovely that your snowdrops are doing so well Iamweedy - one of my absolute favourites at this time of year image  Been trying to find a spot they are happy in here for years, and I think I might have finally cracked it at the foot of a shady beech hedge - certainly lots of shoots coming through image

Enjoy your jam Pat - and the rain, if it arrived.

Back to work again for me ......hoping the traffic won’t be too bad today as the schools are still on holiday.  If not, I have an archers omnibus to catch up on image

Good luck with the traffic chicky. I remember it made a huge difference when the schools were off.
