That looks really good Wonky. Original too. Forgot to say how much I like Chicky's tree too.
Still messing with our tree here. I need to look at it for a day or so to check it has enough on it and no gaps. Now to work out what to do in the hall and the dining room and maybe even the kitchen. I have left OH in charge of hanging lights, strings of beads and shatter proof brass angels and fruits on the a trio of obelisks at the front of the house.

Thanks Dove, took my inspiration from when the village used to dress the local pub enticed by mulled wine and mince pies!
Thanks Obelixx, you sound a very considered tree dresser! I often tinker with it until I'm happy!
Thinking mine has two different looks this year, looks quite sophisticated without the lights, then with the flick of a switch, the full tackyness of Christmas!
We got our tree yesterday. We always use the same decorations - no theme - and like to add one or two each year. Most have specific memories or associations, and others have built up a history by dint of being used year after year!
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
Over-tinsellated (not a proper word but should be!) for some perhaps but the artificial tree beneath is 35 years old so needed some help (actually, some of the baubles and tinsel is over 50yo)
OH did indeed appreciate it Wonky!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
LG, now that's what I call a proper family tree! heirloom baubles! Love it! Very welcoming! Think you may have inspired a new thread too.....favorite bauble and why?
Bob, how could your wife not be cheered with your ever so christmasy tree! And no one should ever apologise for over decorating!!!! That's what Christmas trees are all about! Love the padded out effect with tinsel, used to do the same with my artificial tree for the same reason, used green tinsel so hide bald bits!
I have enjoyed looking at all the lovely decorations, trees and hand crafted pieces on here, and I will eventually photograph my own, but in the meantime here are a few from the garden, thanks to the neighbour's "artistic" efforts!
Colourful and festive neighbours Guernseydonkey, I don't do anything out the front of ours as it is in town and would grow legs helped by folks on the way back from the nightclubs! But I may well go festive in the back garden! looking forward to seeing your tree!
Yes, I understand that WonkyWomble - I wouldn't do it if we lived in the town either, too much going on, but we are fairly lucky here away from the bright lights and activity of the town.
So here is our indoor tree, and my dresser. The tree has a selection of wooden and felt toys - mostly handmade - some by me. Despite the wonky candles I am pleased with the look of the dresser. On the dresser I still have two or three little cardboard trees and an angel that our daughters made at school 30 + years ago, the cuddly toys that my mother collected and a few newer decorations.

That looks lovely Wonky

Lovely decorations, everyone.
Obxx, those felt ones are brilliant.

Precious bauble:
This was always my favourite as I was growing up, and now I have it. Don't know what I'd do if it got broken!
