Drinking chocolate are is always good Clari ... The sort that doesn't need milk added. And a carton or two of sterilised milk for those days when you've run put and don't feel like going to the shops. A jar or two of fish or meat spread for an easy sandwich. That sort of thing was good to have in my parents' pantry.

Very gloomy here and the weather is horrible as well.
It is not really that bad, always a bit down when I realise that I am not suddenly be healthy again, no harm dreaming though.
As I suspected, the Insurance company are not going to pay out for the various holiday expenses, so now got to decide whether we would have a good case if I took them to court.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I know it’s hard Punkdoc and it’s no consolation, but I lost so many people in the space of that two years I was nursing my parents in their last days, my daughter has lost four friends recently, all leaving young children and my step daughter has lost three. All only 30 /40 ish, and there’s not much hope for my son either. Thanks to NHS.

Life's sh*t from time to time ... just heard from a friend that a friend of hers found her elderly father battered to death by intruders ..... I can't imagine .....................................

How awful, Dove. Indeed, hugs to all going through tough times...
Hello folks.
Good news from here is that OH is no longer in need of IV antibiotics; he has a further 7 days on the oral sort, and hopefully just one more hospital visit, but is improving every day. He even stood long enough to make himself a cup of coffee while I was out this morning.
Chicky, I think you should have stayed on a bit longer at the cricket. You were clearly a very good influence... ...hope for safe travelling for you and for Hosta.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Chicky hasn’t started her marathon journey yet - but she is at the airport. Feeling very sad to be leaving - we’ve had such a brilliant time.
But thought I’d finish with festive greetings Aussie style

Thanks Lyn.
I know that there are plenty of things for me to enjoy, and on a good day, i remind myself of them, and even do some of them.
On bad days, I only think about the stuff I can't do, as a result of which, i tend to do nothing, which of course makes me feel worse.
I have been through a lot of this stuff before, with my depression, so I just need to start putting the stuff I learnt in CPT into practice.
Glad to hear your OH is getting better, Liri.
