I'm going to be changing the car in spring Obs, and getting a four wheel drive, but it's just a bog standard car I have at the moment. This is when I miss my jeep. image

Is there no way you can manually fill your pond?

    Morning all. Bit low today.

Frosty but bright out, quite lovely really.

<Sounds like a plan FG.  Tap water is metered here so no manual filling.   It does get any water from the back of the house roof as that is piped in but we only have 3 water butts of 350l each and they woul dgo nowhere in that hole.   Just have to wait for rain.

Busy, Is there a Jessops in Norwich?  They're the only shop that had a replacement lens cap for our old camera so I'm sure they'll sell chargers too.   We'd tried camera shops in the Charente, Belgium and half of Canterbury first.

Thank you, Dove. When we are next in Norwich I'll try Maplins, I know where it is, I just didn't know where to buy one. Any chance of seeing you?

Let me know when you're coming and if I'm free I'll hop on a bus and meet you image

Jessops is another good idea image  There's one in Chapelfield.

Not me FG!  I don't do cold water.   Haven't even paddled in the Atlantic yet except with wellies on.

Good job it's now and not the day before Xmas Dove!  Hope you can get a man who can.  or even a woman.  Why not?

I can't swim Obs - so it certainly wouldn't be me either!  Paddling my feet in a burn after a long hill day is as far as I go. My daughter had a swim in the pond at the last house. I have a photo somewhere, but I don't like putting those on. It was a bit manky though....image

    Morning all.

Obs, I'm with you on cold water. We're a wee bit further south than you and I'm still not tempted into the Atlantic.

Hubby up through the night with ....erm..... "tummy troubles" and we had new next door neighbours check in at 12.30am so not much sleep for me last night. image Overall, mustn't grumble.

    Devon.
  • I'm happy to paddle and swim in the Atlantic ... and the North Sea ... much prefer it to a swimming pool.

British Gas Homecare will come on Wednesday morning and they'll do the service at the same time.  image

Now to return to the pudding making ..........
