Just went out to take some pix. I like this one best
I can see a corner of the wind farm over in Eaglesham from the kitchen, and the snow's still lying there. We get a good view of it from upstairs when it's a clear day. I rather like them
Thanks LP and r'girl. I've put washing on too - think my bedclothes might be freeze dried as well. The grass is very crunchy - not that I stepped on it or anything....
At least the squirrels won't be digging in my pots for bulbs. Every cloud and all that.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Like at Dove's, frost and sun, well we aren't that far away.
Been to the village hall to deliver the cake that I won last night for "guess the weight". The sale opens at 10am so we'll be going back. Haven't had brekkies as there will be bacon butties there, but the rolls hadn't yet arrived. It all looks bright and busy.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Bright and sunny here again but chilly. We had a magnificent 3.3mm of rain last night. I can hardly contain my excitement. Set to stay dry for the weekend which, I suppose, is good for the Xmas market in Moutiers tomorrow altho it's undercover in the medieval Halles - fat stone pillars, amazing wooden beams and curly terracotta tiled roof. Fab.
Glad you're enjoying the hols and lots of sleep Hosta. Lack of stress about shifts and deliveries and shifting wood chip?
FG - Hope you warm up soon. I don't envy you that frost at all except maybe on a clear, sunny day when all is crisp and clean but I can do that here without the frost.
Busy - good idea for that cake. Hope the bacon butties were good.
Pat - go easy. I hope your rose responds to the dead heading.
I need another coffee before I go and commune with my seeds and think about brunch. Warm, cuddly hugs to all who need one.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
The crisp and clean has vanished Obs. It's now grey skies with bits of sun inbetween, and rainy showers. Do you want them? I'll happily have sub zero if if there's a clear sky and a little sun. So much better than endless cold, bone chilling rain as is our norm.
I like a curly terracotta roof tile. Take some pix
Could have sent me the cake BL. We haven't made one. That's the 'royal we'. I passed the baton to older daughter some years ago. Probably better I don't have one - can easily eat an entire C'mas cake by myself
Large pot of spiced, roast squash, sweet potato and various veg soup made. Will test it out for lunch
Do you think Hosta snoozes in the sun?

Glad to know you're ok, Fairy
Light dusting of snow here last night. But the sun's out now so the washing is on. I wonder if I can freeze-dry pillow cases?
“It's still magic even if you know how it's done.”
Cheers! Fairy
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
We have snow on Dartmoor as well.RG. It will probably be gone by lunchtime.
We have bright sunshine and blue skies and frost is glistening everywhere

Morning all.
Lovely and hot and sunny here again today.
I have to say, something suits me here as I've not had less than about 9 hours sleep per night since I arrived.
Hosta hugs to poorly peeps.
You are all most welcome to your snow and frost and rain ( sorry Obs ) I'm hanging onto the sun and the heat though.
