Is the Star Wars outfit for Hallowe'en, Obelixx?

No, I haven't been doing the front garden - I did a lot of weeding and clearing up last week but now it's time for planning, which I'm seeing as a wet / cold weather job. It'll probably be a while before we get it sorted but it's good to have got started on the necessary process. I've just been digging up and ditching the wild strawberries (not enough flavour for the space they were taking up), composting things and generally tidying. Thanks for the idea of thyme 'patches', Fairy - that's a contender.

Happy anniversary Pat and Chicky (and respective OHs). Glad you made it to the library.

It's difficult to believe there's bad weather on its way at all - it's been pleasantly warm and bright here, with barely a gust of wind. I know we're in the SE so not in the firing line, but t really feels very far from stormy. I hope, for those of you in the west and north west, that it's not as bad as predicted. Is Liri still in Ireland?

Happy birthday Fairy and happy wedding anniversary to Chicky and Pat.

It's been nice here this afternoon, sunny mostly, and very mild.

I've agreed to work tomorrow afternoon.image

We got back from San Sebastian, north Spain, last night. Had a lovely break. Have read back, saw Fairy said I get about. San Sebastian is 4 hours drive south of here so not too bad. The building is the town hall, think it used to be a casino. Lovely food, tapas called pintxos. Great weather.

I hope Fairy is having a good birthday. There are a few cards on the birthday thread.

Weather here was good so rooms damaged by are flood are starting to dry out.

    Glad Hosta enjoyed Saint Ives.

Happy Anniversary tomorrow to Mr & Mrs Chicky.

Good to see DD popping in.

LG - no idea.  As far as I know, Halloween is about ghosties and ghouls and withes and wizards and devils whereas Carnival is anything goes but what do I know?   It'll be good either way.

Busy - looks good.  Hope you enjoyed it.  5 hours from here assuming I don't get distracted/deviated in La Rochelle or Saintes.......

Looks like next week could be busy here.  I'm joining a patchwork group as of tomorrow, grandson of chap who built this house is coming to talk about its history on Tuesday and 3 people form the Vendée garden/plants club coming on Friday pm to see all the "before".   Clematis delivery somewhere in the middle.........

Did you get your cake FG?

Phew, it’s rather too warm outside today. One load of washing out, another on the way.

we had planned to do some digging up of unwanted young Eucalypts etc on the hill behind the house, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to stay out there too long. Not a cloud to be seen.

Obelixx, thanks for those references re the weather. I can now see that your Hurricane has lost some threat, but not sure about those of you up north. Hope it’s all ok.

Another mad week at work in prospect - but by Thursday the panic will be over and I will be able to breathe........ and then I will really start my countdown to Oz image

Morning all. We’ve had a busy day, mostly outside. Some of the planned tasks have been done. It’s a much bigger job than anticipated and it got very hot. I’m glad to be inside now at 5.17 pmimage

Morning all. Up early as kittens have a vet appointment (pre-op checkup) - they are wondering why they haven't had breakfast 'seconds' - so they will be pretty miffed on the day they need to be nil-by-mouth!

Beautiful sunrise here - a coral orange, but not pleasant to think a horrible storm is coming to some of the country.
