It's only got sunny abouut an hour ago here Joyce, but the forecast was great for Mamore-ing  image

The walking would have been fine - no scrambling, or tricky stuff, but the driving wouldn't have been safe.

  • That's really hard luck, Fairy.  Hope the pain eases off very soon.

    Pretty ice crystals, Pat!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Fairy, you are allowed to feel sorry for yourself! You never moan, always cheer us all with kind words and advice, my advice is treat yourself to an indulgent day of slobbing! image hope the neck sorts itself out soon!

Hope your neck is better soon, Fairy.

We had a delicious Harvest Festival lunch.

Given in and taken the washing, sheets and towels, off the line where it's been for 2 days. Wetter than ever, now in the machine being rinsed and spun then will have a dry in the machine, washer/dryer, but it never gets properly dry so it will all have to sit on the bannister rail on the landing.

    Afternoon all.

    What  a day!!

I was supposed to be in the shop this morning and only one drop this afternoon.

" erm.... someone's cocked up the rotas, can you take a van out this morning? and work in shop later?"

Major cock up on the navigation front. drop 1- drop 2 and on to drop 3. computer says 36 minutes, Reality? 1 hour and 36 minutes.

Another customer was just back from holiday and had his work phone as contact, with a message saying he'd not be back in the country until tomorrow. His card didn't work. When I got to the house he told me his card had been "cloned" in Florida so he had to get another card and I called store so they could process the sale. More delay.

I got back to store at 3pm to the delight of our slightly frantic check out supervisor.

" Oh, can you go on a till now and clear the coffee shop / garden stuff outside later?"

" nope, I'm going home. I've done my rota'd hours"

What a mug I am , I then asked the manager if he wanted me to do an hour overtime.

8 - 4.15 without so much as a cup of tea.

Punkdoc. A time to reflect is always useful.

Has anyone else noticed there seems more willow bay herb than usual? we have pulled mounds of it today, also wild raspberries and foxgloves galore

nice chicken roasting away and some autumn rasps? Hopefully a wee drop to go with it?
