    Morning/Afternoon everyone.

OH using the thirty minute warning of imminent rain to cut the grass. That will make or break the aching back. We both have sore backs at the mo - so we will turn the bed mattress later. Ironically, that will be difficult!

Need to find the effort to nip to SM soon. Wonder what I can cook up with the pile of apples I have... oaty crumble was good ?

My garden and I live in South Wales.

That (the car) sounds a bit dodgy Pat. Perhaps it was all innocent though....

My grass will have to wait a few days I think. Growth is slow, so it could be worse.

I've been painting and soup making. The trick is to make sure, when doing any stirring, that you've got the right utensil for the relevant pot - to avoid an unhappy incident...image

More apple crumble would be fine AuntyR - what's not to like?  image

Yes, we were concerned. The trouble is that the back area of our place (and her next door's)  is just bushland, so they must have cut her fence to get in. It looked like a modern car from what we could see. Also, idiots steal good cars and then tear around in them and dump them. She, next door, has sheep so a cut fence would have been a problem.

  • Afternoon all.

Raining here - been picking soggy raspberries.  Now I'm off to the builders' merchant to get a new diaphragm for the toilet in the rental house - it currently takes about 20 mins to fill.

Re confusing stirring soup and paint:  I have been known, when at Art class, to dip my watercolour brush in my tea cup...  image

Hello , everybody , just had a couple of beers before dinner , spent day at allotment and o/h emulsioning downstairs cloakroom

Hope alls well out there image

Emulsioning for me too GWRS - my new shower room - as it was a filthy day outside.

Liri - I managed to avoid dipping in the wrong place. Painty tea wouldn't be good   image

However, in a similar vein, one thing I learnt recently was, on a breezy day - don't stand a cup of tea downwind when you're potting plants. Compost isn't a great addition to the flavour either... image

I also managed to make soup, bake some cakes and make bolognese for dinner. Steamed the kitchen floor and cleaned the shower room.  I think I've earned a sit down now  image

Pat - that sounds very unpleasant re the car situation. Very annoying too image

  • It's a bit quiet on here, isn't it, GWRS...

Very wet here, but I got the washer thingy for the toilet cistern, so the afternoon hasn't been wasted.  I hope I'll be able to remember how to reassemble it tomorrow...

  • Ooh, hello Fairy!  You sneaked in there... congrats on the cleaning and cooking, which puts my half-hearted day to shame.  But my excuse is that I've been scrubbing and painting all week so deserved a day off.  image

    Evening all.

Another 10 hour shift so I'm not having a cuppa , then off to chat to No1 daughter.

I hope all chores have been completed.
