Evening all - been lovely here today. Some proper sun at last, and nice and warm in the garden, after work, and a (badly needed) haircut. The grass has also had one
Still about 16 degrees, but the sun's going behind the clouds now.
Love the snowy pic Pat - and the dodgy bridge
Any scones left Dove?
Hope it goes well tomorrow BL. You put so much effort in to everything, that the weather gods could at least do their bit!
Leftovers for me for dinner. Youngest is out for dinner with friends, for her birthday and another girl's. Hope she doesn't wake me up coming in - I'm aiming to be up earlyish.
Don't want to jump the gun with chicky's walk, but it's for Cancer research. I'll see if I can find the info, in case anyoen wants to sponsor her. I'm sure she wouldn't mind me doing that
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
All you guys sound so chirpy today ....fantastic ......let's have a month of September the 1sts....or is it 1st'
All the talk of food , sorry to talk about Russia again, makes me salivate for certain things......since the sanctions so many foodstuffs, machinery , hospital equipment et al from abroad have been banned ........but no alcohol ......on the way from Moscow we stopped off at a Metro C&C ......there is everything from Jemmy 10 to a fine Rioja go figure
Pat ,I would not like to try to negotiate your bridge even without a Jemmy 10
My order of violas and bellis daisies are coming the week of the 25th September, MrsFoxglove.
We rarely have steak but we had it tonight, Irish from the delivery man yesterday. Really good. Then raspberries from the garden with Jersey cream, also from the delivery man. Can't get Jersey cream here. I now have meat pies from Yorkshire and Irish pork sausages and Irish minced lamb in the freezer. Lamb here is very expensive and I've never seen it minced. I love it in spicy burgers with mint in them.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
A Jemmy 10 ......is a real Irish whiskey ...a Jameson 10 year old .....lots of debates about which are the best .........to be honest I like a nice glass of wine
Ah - I couldn't have guessed that Dacha. Just tea for me
The bridge is great fun to cross, although many people don't think so! Completely different ball game in winter conditions though. I forgot to get photos of it when I was there last year though.
I'm trying very hard not to order anything else in the way of bulbs MrsF

Fairy- where are you heading for tomorrow?
If you can't find Chicky's sponsorship details I have them.
Kinlochleven I think Joyce- couple more of the Mamores
Dacha - if you think that's dodgy - try googling the Steall bridge in Glen Nevis. It's great fun
What's a Jemmy 10?

Yay it's September! I can almost taste the pumpkin pie
I hope you're all having fun planning and prepping your spring garden displays
I'm out of the country at the moment and can't wait to get home and stuck in to some serious bulb planting.
Have a lovely weekend everyone
