Hope you have a lovely time BL - I'm sure you must need a break from your busy life! I'll cross my fingers that the weather stays fair for you too
Good news for you then Dacha - re the family. Very scary when you're a long way away in that sort of situation.
Just reading back as I had missed chicky's post about her Dad. Fingers crossed indeed - and if it gives him back everything he enjoys, or even part of it, that will be wonderful
You'll definitely need a holiday chicky - or maybe another long walk ....
Final total is brilliant
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Have a good flight Lizzie - sounds like you have a good trip planned
Letter writing sounds tough pdoc I wouldn't know where to start either.
Schools are now back in force, and so is all the traffic ?????. Hearing a lot more of the Today programme than I have been used to these last few weeks. Settling in to my new office nicely - different trees to look at out the window I have exchanged a majestic horse chestnut (unfortunately addled by that horrible pest that makes the leaves go brown by August) for a rather stately weeping willow. Its funny, when others look out of our office windows, all they see is the cars in the car park, whereas all I see is the trees I like my world better

BL - enjoy your holiday. Nice to have your sister staying too.
Is it car and ferry tomorrow?
Hope Obelixx and Possum are enjoying their few days away.
Thank you Fairy and Joyce. We'll be flying, only 6 hours door to door. Don't need luggage, have all we need in the cottage.
BL , have a nice break in Norfolk , hope weathers OK for you
Very quiet on here tonight.
I am sitting here with a Scotch, trying to write an email to my half brother. It is not going well.
How do you sum up your life, in a few lines?
When you don't even know who's in the team

Hi Punkdoc. I'd say, if it's not coming easily to-night, stop writing and start again another time.
Morning all. I'm on my feet
(not before time). BUT I enjoyed my sleep-in.
At least those gale force winds seem to have eased.
My keypad isn't working well. Jerking and stopping halfway through words.
punkdoc ......hope you took Hosta's advice ......best to do these things with a clear head ......sans Scotch!
Pat , great to hear you are up and about
Morning Dacha
