    Morning all.

Saw footage on tv of muddy water running down streets in Polperro. Hope Dove's rain has gone now.

Clari - have you managed to get an appointment with doc/consultant?

    Morning all.
    Raining here.

I must do the housesitter's room, off to Norfolk on Thursday.

I'll make tomato sauce today to put in the freezer, but I'm not going out in the rain to pick them! Have a glut.

    Hope Clari feels better soon.

I think Punkdoc is in Sicily, he said he was going.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Late morning all, was up at 3.30 am does that count!  Not had chance to get on here for a few days, hope everyone is well.  Been busy batch (ooh, hello I just wrote "match making"!!! )making tomato soup, pasta sauce, marmalade with my own grown calamondines, over half kilo in one picking from one bush. Still picking, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, weeded veg plot.  Had got onions drying in bottom greenhouse, grandkids and I lifted a row of spuds, dried, put away in their special bags (both now full to the brim) other half for some strange reason desided to dig up the main crop, am really angry have no-where to store them light free, what the ****** hell possessed him! Then yesterday he picks all the apples and plums off the trees, they are on the conservatory table, where they will get hot even on a coolisg day, its much hotter in there, AND guess what!! The wooden tray where I store the apples is full of the spuds he desided to lift.  I had the grandkids all last week, so am very behind with everything, that and after my op, no lifting etc for 14 days, playing catch up, hindered by him!  get well soon Clari.

Spend lots of our time here with 'ordinary' Turkish friends. The main problem they have is lack of tourists. Feel much safer here with them than in any large European city. image

  • The food looks good too, Yvie!

Hello all.  Had a busy morning so I can go to the rental house again this afternoon and attack the bathroom.  A swarm of bees took up residence in the house wall 18 months ago, entering via an air brick just above the bathroom window, and stayed until this spring - so the bathroom window has been shut all that time.  Hence there's more mould than is healthy or attractive, on the grout and on the bath sealant.  image

The temperature has risen really quickly today, after a windless, damp early morning.  I think autumn has arrived...

Hugs to Clari.  Hope you soon get some relief.  image

I've flicked back 4 pages and can't work out what's happened to Clari. I'll check again in my morning time. It's nearly 1am here, so I am giving up tonight. Night all.imageimage

    Hi all.

    Sorry I have been AWOL.

A few things have happened and have not felt very sociable.

At the moment I am trying to get my head round the idea that I have just discovered I have a step brother and I feel very disconcerted.

Neither my Mother or my sisters knew about this, so I have been discussing what we should do next with my sisters and we are still not sure.

I hope you are all well and I hope to be with you a bit more soon.

  • Hi Pdoc. We were wondering about you.

A step brother is not a blood relation so why do anything? If you haven't known him thus far then what does it matter? Pretend nothing happened.

Pat Clari popped in earlier and she's ok but just a bit knackred.

Sorry realised I am slightly losing my mind, I meant half brother. No wonder you must have thought, what's the fuss about.
