Came here to tell you about Brucie, but Dove beat me to it. Some people you just can't replace, he was the sort of person you think will be around for ever.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Didn't see the Lulu thing but we had stuff like that on my mum's side. Gran was brought up Catholic but, aged 16, she fell in love with a lovely Protestant chap. The entire family ganged up against them so my gran got herself pregnant at the first opportunity so she could get married and leave home. He was a Glasgow Gorbals Catholic and a dreadful bully. Marriage made in hell. He died when I was 10 or 12, not missed. Gran then met her first love again, now a widower, and they marrried and had about 5 happy years before he died.
The whole lot of them ganged up on my mum when she fell in love with her cousin - verboten - so she left at home at 18 to go and train as an SRN at the RVI in Newcastle. Read the bible, as you do aged 18, to find answers and then went home and told the Catholic priest he and the Catholic church had been lying to her all her life. Excommunicated and kicked out of home. Nice lot.
Been running errands in La Roche this pm and raided the Vietnamese store on the way home.
Sky clearing now so should be a nice evening. Farmers' market is next week (confusing business being on holiday all year) so we're off out to walk the dogs and then have slow baked sticky chili ribs for dinner.
Hosta - hope they find a solution for you. FG - hope you get the weather you need for Munroe bagging.

I'm afraid he was always cheesy and I can't bear NW either. Each to their own tho and condolences to family and fans who did enjoy him.
Been out for walkies and, wonder of wonders, newly pimped and preened Rasta doggy managed to stay clean and not roll in anything unspeakable or dash off into mounds of sticky buds and other horrors.
Came home to lovely pongs in the kitchen. Slow roast pork ribs to die for.

Late to bed ... Had to put GW on Pause while we listened to our hedgehog crunching his/her biscuits and nuts etc in the hedgehog cave then watched as he ambled through the longer grass and then scuttle across the lawn to the Wilderness around the sides and back of the pond.
Lovely GW this evening ... Loved the Pemberton roses ... Some of my favourite roses in that group.
now it's time to snuggle under the duvet ... Sweet dreams folks

Hosta
a little something for your Lovely Hub and to remind us all that Brucie really was a huge talent and not just a cheezy presenter
