Morning all.  A bit clearer and less muggy here too, after a wet night.

Go on, BL.  Try the difficult questions out on us... I probably won't know the answers either, but like a challenge.  image  Congrats on the success of the barbecue; it's great that OH found a kindred spirit, too.

Pat, take it easy... the fruit trees won't come to any harm if you don't get round to tidying them up for a bit.  You need lots of rest.  image

Hmmm.  Sounds as if you need lots of rest, too, Hosta.  Sympathy but no practical suggestions from me, I'm afraid.  image

Glad Chicklet recovered so quickly - hope you stayed clear of the germs, Chicky...

FG, I'm feeling distinctly uneasy because my son is in his 40th year.  It's just not possible!  image

Dove, I guess you'll not be cooing at the skip company then.  We have photos of the DPD delivery van which burnt out its clutch trying to reverse up our road, having ignored warnings that it was 8ft wide and there was nowhere to turn.  He was stuck there for 3 hours, so nobody could go up or down...  What was he delivering, you ask, to require a large van to be driven the last 100 yards to the house?  A mobile phone.  image

I know Fairy.  Ours is 22 now and still around when not at college.  Only 3 or 4 years to go if she does a Masters....... and then she has to find a job.   One advantage tho is she doesn't drink so last night she was our taxi and OH treated himself to dessert wine with his pud.

Have a white wash on too but no cake making.  Possum is thinking thin and so should I.

Gave fun with your pond.   Still waiting for bulldozer man here but meanwhile the brambles growing round its edges are fruiting nicely.  Unfortunately they're also invading the grass now.  Nice job for OH to sort out.

Had an interesting session at the English Club last evening .....the topic was 'fear and phobias' .....it's hard to ensure that everyone gets a chance to contribute and practice their English .....one lady gave us the lowdown on her OCD OH......she said 'if I leave the bed during  the night to go to the toilet when I come back the bed is made! " .......another lady came with a huge list of every phobia she suffers from and if anyone else mentioned one which wasn't  on her list she said 'oh I have that one too'......the best bit was when someone mentioned a fear of the number 13 and I told them this is called 'triskaidekaphobia' and if you fear Friday 13th this is 'friggatriskaidekaphobia'  ( there is another Greek version but lets go with that one) .......I know these because I have a cousin who has this weird phobia image

Is your cousin a knight Templar then?

My sister turned 13 on Friday 13th.

    Hosta - I've had a thought - I know - dangerous...image

How about trying a different approach - sort of reverse phsychology? You're lucky if you get a few hours at one go, so why not tell yourself  'if I can manage more than an hour, that's brilliant - a real result'. Anything beyond that is then a huge bonus.  Your partner could back you up with it too - 'brilliant Hosta - that was 2 hours'.

Could that possibly work do you think?

Maybe doing online jigsaw puzzles would send you to sleep Hosta - or at least keep you busy and not brooding.   Fairy posts some good ones.
